How to Remove Followers on Twitter?

From The Mobile App

One of the advantages of having a personal Twitter account is that you can choose whatever you wish for. You can handpick your followers by accepting or rejecting their follower requests.

But how can you get someone from your following list to stop following you?

Step 1: To block someone on Twitter using Android or iOS, head on over to your Twitter app.

Step 2: If you're logged out, enter your information to log in.

From the homepage, tap on the three lines stacked together in the top left corner.

Step 3: Tap on "Followers" from the top of the menu that is in front of you. Here you can see a list of your followers.

Step 4: Search for the follower you would like to remove. To get to their profile, tap on their username.

Step 5: Tap on "…" in the top right corner of their profile.

Step 6: You can then tap on "Block" from the menu. Then tap "Block" again on the popup.

Step 7: You now have two options. You can choose to leave that person blocked. That way, they won't be able to follow you again or see your profile. Or you can go and unblock them.

Step 1: Head to the official Twitter website from your browser window.

Enter your username and password to access your Twitter account.

Step2: Head on over to the left panel of your account page and select "Profile."

Step 3: Then, under your bio, look for the "Followers" option and select it. You'll be to view your followers' list.

Step 4: Go through the list of your "Followers" and search for the user you wish to remove.

When you find them, go to their profile by clicking on their username.

Step 5: Doing so will redirect you to their profile page.

Once you're there, click on the "…" located on the left side of the follower's option. And a drop-down menu will appear.

Step 6: Select "Block" from the drop-down menu. Twitter will then notify you that you are ready to block the person. Proceed by clicking the "Continue" button.

Step 7: Similar to the mobile version, you can then proceed to select "Unblock" to remove the user.

How to Unblock Someone on Twitter

Step 1: To unblock them, go back to the Twitter homepage and tap on the three lines button in the top left corner.

Click on "More."

Step 2: Then select "Settings and privacy."

Step 3: On the next page, tap on "Privacy and safety."

Step 4: Scroll down the "Privacy and safety" page and select "Mute and block."

After that, you need to click on "Blocked Accounts."

Step 5: Tap/click on "Blocked" in front of their username. The option will change to "Unblock." Click once on that to unblock them.

Now, if you reopen the blocked page, you can see they are no longer blocked. And when you go back and look at your follower list, you can see that your follower count will have decreased by 1.
