The Spanish telephone numbering plan is the resource allotment of telephone numbers in Spain. It was previously regulated past the Comisión del Mercado de las Telecomunicaciones (CMT), only is now regulated by the Comisión Nacional de los Mercados y la Competencia (CNMC).

Current numbering programme [edit]
On 1 December 1998, Spain inverse to a new phone numbering plan.[viii] Under the closed numbering plan with the trunk prefix 'ix' being incorporated into the subscriber'south number, so that a nine-digit number was used for all calls, eastward.g.:[ix]

Espana's international access code also changed from 07 to 00, but this did not affect dialling arrangements for calls to Gibraltar, with the 9567 prefix being retained.[xi] In addition, it was possible to call Gibraltar from other countries via Spain using the prefix +34 9567.[12] However, on ten Feb 2007, Spain adopted the international prefix 00350 for all calls to Gibraltar, thereby bringing cease to a dispute between Gibraltar and Espana.[13] Consequently, numbers with the prefix 9567 were withdrawn from apply, and fabricated available for reassignment to subscribers in Espana.[xiv]

Other numbers [edit]
- Numbers starting with 2, 3, 4, 5, and 99 are reserved.
- Numbers starting with 0 and 1 are used to compose short numbers or for prefixes. For example, 3-digit numbers starting with 0 are for emergency and services to the denizen.
- Non-emergency numbers are 010 for requesting information to the city council, 012 to the regional authorities, and 060 to the national government.
- 016, implemented in 2007 by the national government, is a telephone number meant for reporting cases of violence against women. Calls to this number do non appear in the phone neb.[16]
- 112 is the generic emergency number. - 905 numbers are supposed to be used for voting systems. Calls take a limited duration (typically three minutes), and are charged a fixed rate per call. They are often used in TV shows as a substitutive of eighty numbers, both for paradigm reasons and because operators are non obliged to block them on a user request, as 80 numbers are.[17]
- Until 2003, 906 used to be the prefix for premium charge per unit calls, where the calling political party pays a fixed corporeality of coin per infinitesimal and are lucrative for the called political party.
